TransEdge Truck Centers has a rich history, just like the Mack Trucks Corporation itself. The Mack Truck Company first established itself in Allentown, Pennsylvania in the early 1920's on 727 Union Blvd. and operated as a factory branch. In 1969 the factory-owned branch was relocated to a new facility on 1407 Bulldog Drive, its present location. This facility was built as a showcase branch because it was situated in what was considered true Bulldog country as Mack Trucks had moved their World Headquarters to Allentown. At this time, the Allentown Branch was a Fleet Center with the majority of its business in servicing major accounts for the Mack Truck Company.
The Allentown Branch of Mack Trucks became a privately owned distributorship in December, 1990 when, as part of a corporate restructuring plan, Mack Trucks sold the branch to the present owners who changed the name to Allentown Mack Sales and Service, Inc. Five years later, Allentown Mack acquired Blue Mountain Mack in Schuylkill Haven, PA. Most recently, in 2006 Allentown Mack Sales and Service, Inc. acquired Pittsburgh Mack.
The company changed its name to TransEdge Truck Centers and became a driving force in the Pennsylvania transportation industry. With three facilities, Allentown, Blue Mountain, and Pittsburgh, TransEdge Truck Centers services Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.
Now providing sales, parts, and service for Mack, Volvo, Mitsubishi, and UD truck lines, TransEdge Truck Centers is still a model for dealerships. TransEdge Truck Centers is a full-service dealership including New and Used Truck Sales and Service, a huge Parts Department, a new truck Modification Center, Leasing, Finance and Insurance, and much more. Our six acre facility in Allentown boasts a 26,000 square foot shop with 27 bays and a fully-stocked, secure truck lot with many vehicles for sale.
